What Processor Do You Need for a Minecraft Server?

The type of hardware required for a dedicated Minecraft server depends upon four very important factors:

  • How many players would be playing simultaneously
  • Draw Distance
  • How big the world is
  • Are you serving Vanilla or Modded Minecraft

The bigger the world gets and the more the number of players there are, the higher would be the amount of RAM required.

On top of that, the higher the number of grinders. the better the CPU you would require.
